| In 1972 about 100 local farmers from the Chianti classico area and the Florentine countryside came together to create a cooperative and start working together at their newly founded olive mill. Their objective was to protect their local environment and territory, the taste and the traditions tied to extra virgin olive oil production while producing a high quality extra virgin olive oil. This is still their mission today, 180 members continue working with strength and passion for their product. Our olive groves are positioned in an area which is ideal for olive cultivation between the provinces of Florence and Siena and is renowned for the variety of olives present. Frantoio, moraiolo, leccino, pendolino are the olive types that give the oil that we produce characteristics that help you recognize this rich territory where they grow. A panel of expert olive oil tasters carry out an important and objective tasting process which allows us to give every oil and its category character and identity whilst always maintaining Tuscan tradition. |
